Zoe stretched out her stiff limbs as she climbed out of the truck. She became aware of the intent gazes of a group of men standing outside the motel. They were watchful and suspicious as they scanned her and her grimy-looking friends from head to toe.
One guy in particular caught her attention. Close cropped hair, bad-boy good looks and a body to go with it. He was also armed. Law enforcement or military from the looks of him.
His gaze caught hers and he gave her a dazzling half smile.
